Build, create, express yourself, nobody is a spectator at Burning Man…

When: End of August / Beginning of September every year. Aug 27th – Sept 3rd, 2012.
Where: Black Rock Dessert, Nevada, USA.
They say to truly understand this event, one must participate so there’s probably not much chance of painting a true picture here in a few words but here goes anyway! Burning Man is one week of truly unique, artistic madness, culminating in the torching of many structures including the iconic Burning Man effigy on the Saturday evening.
Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert for what can only be described as a life changing experience – to try something new, to fulfill a dream or to stretch their boundaries. Between them they create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.
Nobody at Burning Man is a spectator, everyone is there to build, create and participate. Awe inspiring sculptures, incredible installations, wild performances, weird and wonderful vehicles and costumes that would look at home on the set of Mad Max, all sprout from the once empty dessert and depart one week later, leaving absolutely no trace behind them at all.
